When Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, it left behind unimaginable devastation. My family is among those most severely impacted in Fyffes Pen, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. My dad, Dr. Lyndon Johnson, a man whose life’s work has been dedicated to uplifting others, now finds himself needing the same compassion and support he has so selflessly given for decades.
Dr. Johnson is the founder and owner of Technosol Limited, one of Jamaica’s largest producers of essential oils. For years, Technosol has been more than a business — it has been a lifeline for the community. Through employment, mentorship, and training, Dr. Johnson has empowered local farmers and families to earn a living and improve their quality of life. His company has supported countless households, making it a cornerstone of the parish’s agricultural and economic foundation.
But Hurricane Melissa changed everything.
Dr. Johnson’s home has been completely destroyed — his family has lost all their personal belongings and must now rebuild from the ground up. The Technosol facilities suffered catastrophic damage: roofs ripped away, buildings severely compromised, vehicles destroyed, and essential equipment significantly damaged by flooding and debris. The very heart of his life’s work — and the livelihood of many in his community — has been left in ruins.
Dr. Johnson is not only a businessman — he is a powerful Bible teacher, pastor, and community leader whose ministry has touched lives across Jamaica and beyond. His message of faith, healing, and empowerment has inspired countless individuals to rise above hardship. He serves selflessly on several community boards, championing programs that equip local farmers with skills and resources to sustain their families and communities.
His wife, Polly, a registered nurse, has faithfully served the people of Black River for many years before joining her husband to help grow Technosol and expand its outreach. Their daughter, Nathalia, a food chemist, has also dedicated her talents to strengthening the family business and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
Now, this incredible family — who has given so much — urgently needs our help.
