My name is Madan Gupta and I am trying to help Dr Gajendra live his life for his 3 little kids, his wife, his families and countless patients who need him to save them. This fund is only for Dr Gajendra Prasad Das who is the only beneficiary of these donations. Me and Gajendra have known each other since 2013 when his wife and my wife were studying and working together at BPKIHS, Dharan, Nepal. This mission to help Gajendra fight back was set up by Dr Pratik Poudel who is Dr Gajendra's school friend and I am confident he will succeed in his mission. As Gajendra is Nepalese resident, I had to set up this gofundme page on his behalf. All the funds collected will be transferred into Gajendra's NIC Asia bank account in Nepal once they are available in my UK bank account.
Dr. Gajendra Prasad Das, a 43-year-old general surgeon from Biratnagar, Nepal, has dedicated his life to healing others. Today, he needs our help to save his own.
In October 2025, Dr. Das was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) — a fast-growing blood cancer that requires urgent and intensive treatment. He is currently receiving care at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital, New Delhi. Three cycles of chemotherapy has been completed, and doctors are now planning 2 cycles of Inj. BLINATUMOMAB ( 1 cycle cost around 30,000 US dollar ) followed by a bone marrow transplant, depending on his response.
The estimated cost for his entire treatment and recovery is more than $100,000 USD — an amount beyond the reach of his middle-class family. Dr. Das had been suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis ( a type of joint disease) for around 15 years and was giving his surgical service despite his daily struggle with back pain and now life has taken a even difficult turn when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He is a father of 3 ( two twins and one single) young kids aged 3 to 4 years.
The family managed money for different expensive investigations and first cycle of chemotherapy and asked for help from few close friends and relatives for other two cycles and now struggling to manage money for Inj. BLINATUMOMAB, bone marrow transplant and further treatment depending upon the response.
Despite their strength and courage, the financial burden of prolonged treatment, hospital stays, and potential transplant has become overwhelming for the family.
As his close friend, Dr. Pratik Poudel, I have started this campaign on behalf of the family. Funds from abroad will be safely managed and withdrawn by
MADAN GUPTA to ensure smooth, transparent transfer of every dollar directly toward treatment costs.
