Justice for the Family of Robert Freres

We are seeking Justice for my brother Robert Freres, who went to the hospital in El Paso, Texas on May 18, which was a Saturday complaining that he was not feeling well. Upon arriving at the hospital as a standard protocol, bloodwork was done and the doctors discovered serious cardiac issues which required further test. Normally, with that level of Cardiac seriousness, the patient is put in intensive care for critical monitoring, and my brother was stuck in an observation room and my brother repeatedly told me his assigned doctors weren’t telling him anything and we’re not checking on him regularly. Monday morning, May 20, the cardiac doctors assigned to my Brother, critical care performed a procedure where they go in to check your main arteries for blockages and three severe blockages were found and instead of taking immediate action and performing life-saving procedures with a 99% success rate his doctors chose to pull out and do nothing but reschedule the life-saving procedure for a week later, because the assigned doctor worked at a different hospital and rented the surgery rooms during two days of the week the doctor gave our family, nothing but excuses about why he couldn’t perform this life-saving procedure immediately and led my brother to believe he was going to be fine and was not in any danger. Despite not being placed in intensive care and being left in an observation room with a regular diet, which is highly unusual for a cardiac patient. Our family repeatedly questioned the doctors on why they were delaying this procedure after finding three blocked arteries in my brother’s heart , my brother was 49 years old youth football coach and an avid golfer with a wife and three children. My brother had excellent health insurance, so there was no reason to delay his Life-saving critical treatment immediately, but again, the doctors assigned to save my brother‘s life could not fit him in their schedule. there is much more to this story that I cannot discuss as we are gathering all of my brother’s medical records, and we hired a private pathologist, not related to that worthless hospital, lazy doctors to perform a thorough autopsy to give us answers on what these doctors should have done urgently upon my brother arriving May 18. I did however speak to my brother while his doctors were giving him an update May 21 and his lead doctor said Mr. Freres if you leave here there’s a 50-50 chance that you will die but if you allow us to perform this bypass procedure is a 99% success rate. So at 5 PM that evening on May 21 I spoke to my brother for an additional 34 minutes and asked him do I need to come to that hospital tonight so these doctors will perform this life-saving procedure on you now and my brother said no the doctors tell me I’m going to be fine so I said OK. I love you Bob. I will call you tomorrow. My brother died the very next day after eating lunch in that worthless hospital still waiting for a doctor to come check on him , once we receive all the medical records in the pathology report, we will have medical experts look over this information and we believe they will find many things that were not done in an aggressive manner to save my brother’s life. We believe numerous errors were made In the treatment of my brother in his critical condition as numerous opportunity to save my brother’s life slipped away with no communication between the doctors and nursing staff. I refuse to let the hospital touch my brother after he passed away so I hired a private pathologist so we will get a thorough Objective report in the next four weeks. Our family met with my brothers team of doctors who let him pass away under their care on May 23 as the lead doctor sat 3 feet away from me I was introduced as Bob’s older brother Dr. Michael Freres, and the first question. The cardiac doctor asked me is what are you a doctor in and I said what kind of question is that? The lead cardiologist told me after I asked why wasn’t this procedure performed immediately upon finding three blocked arteries his reply was there’s no surgeon in the country that would perform the surgery this fast which was a lie straight to my face and I couldn’t believe it, but that is what he said. I have spoken to several cardiac professionals since my brother passed away, and there are numerous surgeons who would’ve performed that surgery the day after three severe arterial, blockages were found so we are seeking Justice against the hospital. The doctors, the nurses, the staff who led my brother to believe he was in no danger and was going to walk out of the hospital a healthy man. We know the doctors have lied to us directly already about the treatment procedures that were supposed to take place in a timely manner to save my brothers life. Neither of the doctors could even look me in the eyes with a straight face as I sat in the room with them, my brother‘s wife and three children waiting for answers on why this happened. We know the hospital will continue to lie to cover up missed steps and miscommunication, we are going to transition to searching for appropriate legal team to get justice for my brother and our family.
