Help Dr. Bones with Medical costs

Donation protected

Hello everyone! My 4 year old tuxedo cat Dr. Bones scratched on my door 4 days ago (4/28/24) and when I saw him I knew something was wrong, after a life time of zero medical issues, he was taken to the Massachusetts veterinary referral hospital in Woburn to clear a urethral blockage that caused him life threatening bladder retention. After 3 days in hospital he was sent home, but less then 24 hours later he was rushed back as the blockage had returned. The vets made us aware that due to the severity of his issues, he will require a perineal urethrostomy to create a new urinary opening-if he doesn’t get this surgery the only option is euthanasia.

if you know Lydia and I personally, you are aware how much Dr. Bones means to us. He changed my entire opinion on cats and the relationship a person could have with an animal, I would do anything for him, and the idea of him going away at such a young age due to lack of funds is absolutely devastating. As I have said many, many times:
”I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to this cat”

we both made the decision to take out a loan to cover his costs, which while I am grateful it has covered his costs it has put us in a very difficult finical situation-as this comes on the backdrop of my struggle to get approved for disability services.

anything you can donate will be used exclusively as payment on this outstanding loan, and is a loving contribution to saving the life of the wonderful cat I have ever met.
