A Dentist. An Athlete. A Changemaker.

Dr. Bakhtawar Khalid is reimagining healthcare in Pakistan, one where inclusion, empathy, and representation are at the heart of how we care for others.

Having developed a visual impairment during her dental studies, Dr. Khalid didn’t stop. She completed her BDS degree, excelled in the field of development, and earned an MBA in Health Services Management. In 2023, she became a national symbol of resilience by representing Pakistan at the World Blind Sports Championship as an archer.

Now, she's setting her sights on an MSc in Public Health at the University of West England, Bristol, a critical step in her mission to design community-based, inclusive healthcare systems and champion the role of persons with disabilities as leaders and caregivers.
