Support for Douglas Ohle and His Family During This Critical Time

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your prayers, support, and generosity for our beloved cousin, Douglas, and his family during an unimaginably difficult time.

Douglas is currently in a hospital in California, in a medically induced coma, and relying on life-saving machines. On Saturday, he was rushed by ambulance after experiencing severe pain. Doctors discovered that his bowels were twisted, cutting off blood flow and causing part of his intestines to die. He underwent an emergency surgery that evening to untangle the intestines, followed by a second surgery on Sunday to remove the damaged section.

While doctors have worked tirelessly to stabilize him, his condition remains critical. His kidneys and liver are failing, and time with him may now be heartbreakingly short.

Douglas’s wife, Falynne, flew out immediately and has been by his side through every terrifying moment. His sister and mother-in-law have since flown in to support her, to stand in love, and — devastatingly — to begin saying their goodbyes.

This sudden medical emergency has not only turned their world upside down emotionally, but also financially. The travel, missed work, medical costs, and uncertainty ahead have placed an enormous burden on Douglas’s family.
