Hello,

My name is Douglas, I live in Mid Michigan. I have been dealing with health issues for over a year now, and I need help digging out of the hole I have gotten into. January 2025 I got really sick,and was diagnosed with severe COVID-19, and shortly after was told I had double lung pneumonia, I was close to death. I coughed so hard I broke 2 ribs and tore an oblique muscle in my abdomen, after that I had a P.E. (pulmonary embolism) . Since then I have been to the hospital more than 12 times due to not being able to breath. I have gone through all my savings and have lost 2 jobs because I just can't do what I used to. I am on heavy steroids and antibiotics full time now and on oxygen machine full time now. I am close to eviction and having power cut off, I have received help from my family, but everyone is pretty tight now. I don't expect anything from this website but I am desperate and am reaching out for help from total strangers until I hear back from the social security office for disability, which I probably will be denied too.
