Help Douglas & Nicole Rebuild After Storm Chantel
Donation protected
On July 6, 2025, my wife Nicole and I lost our home in North Carolina when storm Chantel brought devastating floodwaters to our community. In a matter of hours, everything we had built together was swept away. We are now staying in a hotel, trying to figure out our next steps and searching for a new place to call home. The uncertainty is overwhelming, but we are doing our best to stay strong and hopeful.
Before the storm, our life was simple and full of small joys. We both worked hard and cherished our time together, especially on our days off when we would barbecue and enjoy the peace of nature. Losing our home has been incredibly hard, but what hurts most is losing the photos of our loved ones who have passed on—my mother, Nicole’s mother, and her brother. Those memories can never be replaced, and it’s a pain we carry with us every day.
We are reaching out for help with hotel costs and finding a new place to live. Any support, whether it’s a donation or just words of encouragement and prayers, means the world to us. We know that tough times don’t last forever, and we’re holding on to hope for better days ahead. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness you can offer.
