My uncle Douglas took his final breaths surrounded by his loved ones early Saturday, 11/2.

In August 2024, he ended up in the hospital and we were all shocked to hear that he had diabetes and developed an awful fungal infection in his sinuses that later spread all over. It is difficult to share the specifics, but we learned that these kinds of infections are extremely difficult to treat and sadly he suffered incredibly as this illness quickly progressed.

Tío Douglas was a hardworking man, a painter...residential, commercial, you name it. He was the breadwinner for his family.

We thank God that He allowed us to surround my uncle with love and our company. So many of us prayed, came together, and the medical team really helped to make sure his last moments were peaceful.

In an effort to help my aunt Carmen and cousins David, Jovany and Erick, whose lives have been turned upside down, I have set up this gofundme page to help them with the funeral costs.
