Douglas, my husband, is only 46 years old and has been living with the effects of a work injury for 8 years. 3 days after his fall, he developed a tremor in his left hand, which has since spread to his right arm, both legs, his chin, and now causes him to stutter and lose his balance. Over the years, his condition has gradually worsened, leaving him more incapacitated and in constant pain. We've seen several neurologists, each offering a different diagnosis—from a resting tremor to essential tremor, and most recently, Parkinson's disease. Despite these diagnoses, we are still searching for answers, as Dougie continues to suffer. He can only sleep two to three hours a night, and simple tasks like driving, showering, or putting on his clothes have become nearly impossible without my help. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting but has not been able to work in this field because he can't type or be in one position for long periods of time. On top of this, my father has become bedridden, and I now care for him 3 days a week in Mexicali, leaving Dougie to manage on his own. This has only added to his stress and sleeplessness. Dougie is an amazing and understanding man, but I know this has been incredibly hard on him. Recently, we experienced a miracle: by the grace of God, we were able to get an appointment with Dr. Tubio, a famous YouTube chiropractor, despite his schedule being booked out a year. After just one session, Dougie experienced relief from his pain and regained his balance for a few days, finally getting a good night's rest. Dr. Tubio would like to see Dougie for six sessions, but financially, it's difficult. Each appointment requires Dougie to take a day off work, and I have to drive four hours round trip. We are hoping and praying for help to pay for these sessions, cover gas, and support the days Dougie needs to take off. Any amount would help, and we would truly appreciate prayers & any assistance.
