Recently, Dougie's physical exam gave us some reassurance—he still has that loving spirit and wagging tail. However, the news from his ultrasound wasn't as bright. The cancerous tumor that Dougie has been fighting has grown, and there's now a second mass in his bladder. While it's somewhat less invasive in its current position, the road ahead is still filled with challenges.

The next few months are crucial for Dougie's health. We're awaiting results on his kidney function, which will guide us on whether we can proceed with a new NSAID treatment that could slow the cancer's progress. This treatment, however, requires frequent blood tests and monitoring, which comes with significant costs—an estimated $2,000 over the next two months.
