On the night of Saturday 10 October, our friends Dougall and Rachel and their children, Lucy and Gus, lost all their belongings in a devastating house fire at their home in Gymea Bay. The house was completely destroyed, along with everything inside.

Thankfully, everyone is safe and unharmed, but as you can imagine, the family now faces the enormous task of finding a new home and replacing everything they’ve lost.

While insurance will be an important part of their recovery, claims take time to process, and insurance may not cover every expense or need. We want to help Dougall and Rachel look after their family, giving them some breathing space as they navigate what comes next at this difficult time. So, to help ease the immediate financial pressure, we’ve set up this GoFundMe to help cover immediate living expenses such as everyday essentials like clothing, toiletries, school supplies, and anything else they need as they eventually move into a new home.
