Everyone who knows my dad Doug loves him. He is an amazing father, a loving and caring husband, and a devoted friend. He is the best father I could dream of having - and has touched many lives with his kindness and generosity.

Doug has been in a hospital in Mexico with an acute brain infection for three days.  The medical care here is slow and the physicians have been unable to diagnose his condition.  It is vital that we get him back to the US to a hospital where they have adequate expertise and resources to get him appropriate treatment immediately.

The insurance company has denied our requests to airlift him to the United States so, in a desperate last resort, we are chartering a private airlift to get him home. 

The medical evacuation will cost $70,000 which is absolutely necessary but is way out of our family's means. We need the money as soon as possible to pay off the costs of the flight. If we exceed the goal, any extra money will go to his direct medical costs. Michelle, Doug's wife, will be the beneficiary of this campaign, as she will be the one handling all of Doug's medical costs.
