Help Doug and Katie Through Tragedy
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Martha and I'm fundraising for my nephew Doug and his family. A little over a week ago we discovered the shocking news that his seven year old son Oliver had been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer called Ewing Sarcoma.
Life changed in an instant.
Oliver is battling for his life against multiple inoperable tumors that have lodged themselves in multiple places from his lungs to the base of his skull as well as toward his spine. To say the least, our family is DEVESTATED. Doug and his wife Katie have been at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH all week as the test results have come in and the chemotherapy has begun.
For those of you that know the family, you know that Doug and Katie are two of the most hard-working, self-sufficient people on the planet. They are also self-employed, and this time away from work (not to mention away from their other two young sons) is a crushing blow on multiple levels. It is never easy to ask for help, but I'm grateful that I have their permission to reach out and ask for support from friends, family, and community.
As they will need to be with Oliver throughout this battle, I'm asking for any support you can give. Certainly bills will continue to roll in while they take this much needed time away to focus on what is most important. Additionally, prayers, prayers, and more prayers would be gratefully appreciated. I will continue to update regarding the situation and will reach out to local families when they come home and perhaps we can start a meal-train for them.
I encourage anyone who feels comfortable doing so to share this go-fund me request. Thank you so much.
