Dear friends and family,

Doug and Christina are walking through one of the most challenging seasons of their lives, facing not only a cascade of serious medical issues but also a financial crisis that they never imagined would come to this.

Christina has endured an incredibly tough year—battling breast cancer, undergoing emergency gallbladder surgery, and being hospitalized two more times for serious complications. She is currently in the hospital again, as doctors work urgently to understand why her pancreas and liver are not functioning properly. Her strength and resilience through all of this have been nothing short of inspiring.

At the same time, Doug has been locked in an exhausting and ongoing battle with the government to receive the retirement benefits he worked so hard to earn. Despite a lifetime of dedicated service, he continues to face roadblocks and delays that have left them without the financial support they expected and planned for.

This combination of medical and financial hardship has pushed them to a breaking point. Asking for help is not easy for them—it comes with deep humility and vulnerability. But the mounting bills and uncertainty have left them with no other option.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help Doug and Christina cover critical medical expenses (no insurance as part of the retirement battle,) bridge the gap while they continue to fight for the retirement income Doug deserves, and give them some measure of peace and stability in the midst of the chaos.
