Hi, my name is Crystal, and this is my adopted dog, Dottie. I took Dottie in about three and a half years ago because her previous owners could not provide her with the love and attention she deserved.

Before that owner, she was used by another owner for breeding puppies, and after her second litter, they no longer wanted her. When I adopted her, the vet advised against spaying her due to her age, as she was approximately five or six years old at that time. The vet said that the surgery could be harmful to Dottie.

Now, she is between eight and nine years old and is starting to experience health issues. She needs to have the spay surgery, but she has been very sick with an infection and a UTI, so the vet won't perform the surgery until she is fully recovered.

I recently lost my job because I stayed home to care for Dottie while she was critically ill. I couldn’t leave her alone during that time. I am actively looking for work every day and have depleted my funds on her care. I need help. She is still very sick and requires assistance.

Dottie needs blood work, several vet visits, medications, and eventually, once she is better, the spay surgery.
