This is Dottie. She is 2 years old and was rescued by my sister from an abusive household 10 days ago. After being locked in a cage too small for her size in an illegal dark breeding room, she now suffers from glaucoma in one eye and another eye is so damaged it needs emergency removal surgery. The eye removal surgery is around $3000 and will need to be followed up with another surgery to correct the eye she is keeping, which will be around the same price. Not only is this an unexpected financial burden for my sister but it is necessary for Dottie to live comfortably and without pain. We are expecting medication costs and follow up appointments to be the need for additional funds. I know that you cannot donate to every cause, but if you can find it in your heart to help it would be so incredibly appreciated.
