My mother, Dotti Huckstep, was diagnosed with Stage IV small cell lung cancer in early October. After suffering with a painful skin condition, she developed severe pain in her right side. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital where doctors discovered one lesion on her left lung and more lesions than they could count on her liver. The pain was caused by her liver, as this type of cancer is very aggressive and fast growing. She recently finished her 5th round of chemotherapy with Cisplatin and Etoposide. Unfortunately, we just found out the cancer has spread to her brain, and the tumors are extensive. This is devastating news. She has started having seizures and is now hospitalized again.
Chemo has of course been incredibly challenging. They also face a difficult financial challenge, as she has no health insurance. Please consider donating to help pay for mounting medical expenses. If you are unable to make a financial donation, prayers and well wishes are also very much appreciated. Our family is grateful for any help you can offer. My mother is a strong, independent woman and we need help in this battle.
