Meet Dosie (D-O-S-I-E), my six-year-old rescue with a heart twice her size and a to-do list that still includes many squirrels.

I found Dosie when she was two, after she’d already lived more life than any dog should have to so young. Since then, she’s made it her full-time job to make up for lost time. She’s loyal, goofy, affectionate, and deeply committed to neighborhood patrol and squirrel surveillance.

Recently, Dosie was diagnosed with a serious spinal condition that requires surgery. It’s a big, scary procedure, especially for a dog who is only six years old and still has so much living left to do. While the surgery offers a strong chance at recovery, the cost is more than I can manage alone.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to give Dosie the chance she deserves: to heal, to walk comfortably again, and to get back to doing what she does best… loving fiercely and chasing squirrels with questionable strategy.
