Hi, my name is Dorvano Johnson. I’m 19 years old and I’m from the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. I attend Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where I’m studying to become a marine engineer, a dream I’ve had since I was a child growing up around boats and the ocean. Being on the water has always been a big part of my life, and I’ve worked hard to turn that passion into a future career.

My first year of college was tough, but I pushed through and made it. As I prepare for my second year, my family and I are facing serious financial struggles and simply don’t have the means to cover the cost. I’m asking for help because I don’t want to give up on the dream I’ve worked so hard for. Anything you can give, no matter how small, truly helps and means the world to me.
