Help Dorothy after the sudden loss of her husband!
$5,725 raised of
My name is Susan Stewart. I'm starting this fund for my sister Dorothy. She is a rock. She is the glue that holds our family together. My sister has spent her life taking care of others. She's the one who would go out of her way to help someone in need.
Dorothy is a school bus driver in our community. She cares for every child on her bus, and has been touched by so many of them.
But, Dorothy, despite her generosity, rarely catches a break. Currently, she has been caring for our mother who has late-stage dementia. During the times she's on the bus, her husband Frank is there for our mom.
Frank was just diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It has metastasized into the bones. Frank has also suffered with an opioid addiction for many years. I know there are many people out there who have a loved one caught up in addiction. It's never easy to walk the line of keeping them safe or cutting them loose. Despite his addiction, he's always treated our mom with kindness and compassion. She's the only mom he's ever really known.
I'm making this fundraiser to help with expenses over the next 3-6 months, or however long Frank has left. My sister's pay as a bus driver does not stretch very far. She will, no doubt, have to take time off work which will be unpaid leave.
Our mom is dwindling by the day. And now Frank has been given 3-6 months to live. As you can imagine, there are words to be said, hearts to be healed, and wrongs to be made right. Frank and Dorothy have 4 children and 9 grandkids (all under the age of 15). My goal is to allow my sister and her family this time together without the stress of bills, car payments, and rent.
My sister deserves the world. There is no doubt we will lose two family members in the coming year. Please help or share. Thanks for listening.
