Help Dorothy Beat Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia!

I am Dorothy Whittington’s line sister and, with her permission, I have created this GoFundMe to help alleviate any financial burdens that may occur as she takes the journey toward BEATING ALL. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells. Dorothy is a loving wife, devoted mother of 3, and community-oriented sister of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was diagnosed with ALL during her 3rd pregnancy, resulting in an emergency C-Section to deliver her baby prematurely and save both of their lives. Her baby boy is now healthy and strong and she is fighting to survive this disease, not only for herself, but for her family!

Funds received through this GoFundMe will be used for the following:

• Medical Expenses to include: Chemotherapy, Radiation as well as an upcoming Bone Marrow Transplant. (Anyone interested in becoming a donor may apply at www.bethematch.org)

• Daily Medications, Food and Gas expenses while traveling regularly for cancer treatments

• Daily Medications, Food and Gas expenses during an almost 5 month residential stay away from home following the Bone Marrow transplant to be overseen by Doctors

• Upkeep of regular daily bills and housing at home during time away and out of work

• Childcare and other expenses to ensure that her 3 children are taken care of during this time.
