Hi, I am Derek, my partner Brie and I are reaching out and asking for help for Dorothea Bozicolona-Volpe. Earlier this year, Dorothea was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer, and since then, life has been a whirlwind of doctor visits, treatments, and tough decisions for her and mounting medical bills that are only partially covered by insurance.

Beyond the physical toll taken on her body, it’s also been emotionally hard for her to be fighting the same fight that she lost her dear George to not so long ago.

If you know Dorothea, you know one of the best things about her is how she supports others, guiding them through building their personal brands, helping them develop their careers, repositioning them for a second act, and encouraging them to go after their dreams. If you’re reading this, then it’s likely that you or someone you care about has been positively impacted by having Dorothea in their orbit.

I am personally grateful for the connections, friendships, and professional bonds that I have built over the years through our friendship.

While she’s already on the road to recovery from surgery, she’ll start with chemo in the coming month. As a freelancer/consultant she’ll not only have unplanned additional expenses, but will likely need to take additional time off work to rest and recover which will add additional unplanned cost.

Anyone who knows Dorothea knows that she wants to embrace the whole world and help when and wherever possible. She is now in a position where she needs help from her community. This illness has really affected Dorothea and caused her to become a shell, and we want her to gain back her optimism, sparkle and charisma!
