Help Dorky's Bring Pizza Back Plus So Much More
Hi Dorksters!! I know so many of you want the pizza back. So do we!! We had to make a lot of sacrifices to keep Dorky's open through the past 2 years. In 2020 we were doing so well. We had money for a down payment on a house and money to redo the kitchen/bar at Dorky's. Then in March 2020 everything went *BOOM* and we used anything we had to keep bills paid, keep the business from closing and helping out staff as much as we could. I know we aren't alone, as covid hurt so many we know. We are (very slowly) digging our way out of back rent, but without a fully functioning kitchen it is taking forever.
We know the quickest way to make more money is by finishing our kitchen and expanding the seating (also getting a full bar, which I know many of you have been begging us for). With this "Go Fund Me" we can get the remodel done, bring back the pizza and even our classic sandwiches, without neglecting payroll and staying current with rent and other business bills. Plus our staff all deserve raises because they are the bees knees. (Seriously, I have the best staff around, I love them. They are my family.) One other thing we can work on is our front doors and window. They were broken during covid and we won our lawsuit against the person who broke them, but the city has yet to pay us. With winter coming we would like to fix the doors and window before it starts to get cooler or snows.
Everyone in the community has been so amazing and have encouraged me to try this instead of going it alone. So with a lot of hope for the future, I'm giving this a try. Thanks for 11 years of love and support.
If you look at the other picture attached, it shows the damage to our front doors and our current kitchen/ bar (tiny). We will be relocating the bar to the main arcade, the kitchen will go back into the large space behind where the new bar will be and we will be converting that old area into full dining. (Yay! More seating!)
