Dorka has been by my side since she was my bomb sniffing partner in Afghanistan for years. When she retired, I was lucky enough to adopt her and give her the loving home she deserves.
Recently, Dorka was attacked by another dog while we were out walking. The bite went through her cheek and into her mouth, leaving a hole that required sedation, stitches, antibiotics, and pain medication. On top of that, she suffered a partial tear in her knee that may need surgery. All of this comes while she’s already in a physical therapy and rehab program for her back and shoulder arthritis, which has been tough on her as an older dog.
I’ve been able to cover most of her care so far, but I know Dorka is cared about by so many people. If you’d like to help with anything, Dorka and I would both appreciate it more than words can say. Every bit of support will go directly to her recovery and making sure she enjoys her well-earned retirement. Thank you for caring about her and for being part of her journey.
