Doris leaves behind her devoted husband, Jerry, their 15-year-old son, Jerry Jr., and their 4-year-old daughter, Camila Grace. In this time of immense grief, Jerry Sr. is faced with the daunting task of bringing Doris home from the United States, where she received treatment, back to her beloved Honduras.

As per Doris's final wishes, she will make a stop in Santa Rosa Copan on the mainland, allowing her family there to bid her a heartfelt farewell. She will then be laid to rest in Roatan, where her family and friends can visit her, grieve, and celebrate her beautiful life.
