Hi, I am Doris and I am German. I have been married to an Oregonian for 22 years and my teenage sons have dual citizenship. 2022 we moved to the US and now - after a long, awful and draining immigration process - USCIS has decided to kick me out of the country. My value as an immigrant has been reduced to my compliance with a strict vaccine schedule, and none of my other values, my language skills and qualifications or my volunteer engagement in multiple positions have been of any relevance. I lawfully applied and paid for an expensive waiver ( a religious exemption) but didn't get it because USCIS has deemed me insincere due to my vaccine history. The fact that I buckled at the Civic Surgeon appointment (for the immigration medical) by taking a Tetanus shot has apparently proven me unworthy of trust. However, everyone who knows me knows that I am sincere in my convictions and beliefs! You would never go through what I went through over the last 4 years if integrity and the adherence to convictions wasn't important to me. "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord." (Ps. 20: 7)
Thank you for all your donations in the last week! This has been such a relief and great help for my family! We have filed a motion to reopen or reconsider the decision made on our case and sent in further evidence as well as affidavits from different important people in our lives. I think we are much closer to proving my "sincerity" and the ball is now in the USCIS field. Nobody knows how long they will take to react but at least I am not an illegal today, April 11th, which is the date by which they wanted to see me gone (in their letter of denial).
