Help Doreen with Medical Expenses
Donation protected
My mother Doreen Densmore is battling bladder cancer, and the medical expenses are accumulating. My mom would never easily ask for help, so I am hoping to raise enough funds to give my parents some relief in the upcoming months.
Three years ago, Doreen successfully defeated uterine cancer with surgery. This time, the cancer is more aggressive, and she has already had dialysis, kidney tube insertion and surgery to remove a tumor. This coming week she will begin chemotherapy (on her birthday!!), to be followed by bladder removal surgery. Each chemotherapy treatment has a $290 co-pay, plus she has multiple specialists she must see. I worry that my parents will use up all of their savings on the mounting medical bills.
Doreen has given so much to our community in the Hanover-Horton and Concord areas. She is active in many church functions, including volunteering as a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. She has been a leader for Girl Scouts and 4-H. She has also been a familiar face at H-H basketball games, and she has been a cheerleader at many events at Concord Schools, where five of her grandchildren have graduated after participation in many sports, band and the arts.
It would be such a blessing if we could help out someone who has given so much to others.
