Hi everyone,
I’m raising funds to help cover the cost of my dog Dora’s upcoming surgery — a mast cell tumor removal and dental cleaning. The total estimate is about $3 300, which includes tests, anesthesia, surgery, and post-operative care.
Dora is six years old, and anyone who’s met her knows she’s the sweetest, gentlest soul. Recently, her vet found a mast cell tumor that needs to be removed in order to be examined. At the same time, Dora is due for a professional teeth cleaning. While that might sound less urgent, both procedures require anesthesia — which is expensive and carries some risk — so it’s safer and simpler to do them at the same time rather than put her under twice.
I’ve already spent about $800 on extensive pre-surgery tests (blood work, urine, and stool samples, as well as sampling and exam of the tumor) to make sure she’s healthy enough for the operation. I had saved up some money for her dental cleaning, but the unexpected tumor removal pushed the total far beyond what I can manage on my own right now.
Any amount truly helps, whether it’s $5 or just sharing this page. Dora means the world to me, and I want to make sure she gets the care she deserves so she can stay healthy, happy, and playful for many more years.
Thank you so much for your support — it really means a lot.
