My heart is broken for my sister Dora and her children. Last night, they lost their home and all of their belongings in a devastating house fire. Tragically, they also lost their beloved dog, Loma, who was a cherished member of the family.


What makes this even more heartbreaking is that my niece, Danica, just graduated from high school this week and should be celebrating this special milestone. Instead, she is grieving the loss of her dog and facing the challenge of starting over. Dora is always the first person to help others and would never ask for help herself, so I'm asking on her behalf.


I've created a GoFundMe to help with temporary housing, basic necessities, rebuilding their lives, and the cost of cremating Loma.
