Help Donyae Coles' Family Secure New Home

Hello! My name is Donyae Coles and I am raising money to help my family move into new housing. My landlord is selling the home that we've occupied for nearly 4 years so we have to move. This news is quite sudden and is coming on the heels of the tragic loss of my my mother in law who just passed in May.

Those who are familiar with me know that we have experienced a number of traumatic events that have happened near (within a few feet of) our current home including, most recently, a police shooting. So moving is a good thing in general but we have no agency in the timing and are in no way ready to do so.

I am an author, my debut novel has just come out. I have had no chance to really enjoy this major accomplishment because I have to worry about my family's housing situation.

My family consists of myself, my husband and my three children.

We are still reeling from grief from my mother in law's passing as well as dealing with ongoing chronic illness and disability. So I am reaching out to our community and strangers to ask for help in keeping my family housed.

This amount is to cover the expenses of moving included but not limited to:

First Month + Last Month + Security Deposit

Moving truck and boxes (due to the short time frame)

Application fees and travel for viewings and such

The fees for this platform
