My name is Donte and I am reaching out because I have just been through quite an ordeal. I was hospitalized for two and a half weeks with a bacterial community-acquired pneumonia, along with a slow heart rate, high blood pressure, extreme anxiety, acute kidney injury, and an enlarged liver. While I was in the hospital I was close to the end and was saved in ICU after being forced oxygen. It was a tough battle and , and right now even the smallest daily tasks leave me drained. I am also at the smallest I have been since my teenage years, and I just need real time to heal and build my strength back.

This is not the first time I have been hospitalized, but it is definitely the most severe. That is why I cannot just bounce back like I usually do. Normally I push myself and go right back to work, but this time I am simply not able to. I had to resign from my job, and I am applying for short term disability and any assistance I can obtain. In the meantime, I need help to stay afloat.
