Please help Roslyn win her battle with Cancer!

UPDATE:

On February 26th, In order to save Roslyn’s life, doctors had to amputate her right leg in an effort to stop the aggressive spread of this rare sarcoma and a dangerous infection.

She now faces a long road of recovery and healing. Our focus has shifted from removing the tumor to rehabilitation, preventing further spread, and rebuilding her strength. Donations will now go toward ongoing medical expenses, a prosthetic leg, physical therapy, and necessary renovations to make our home wheelchair accessible so she can safely move and regain independence.

We continue to trust God through this devastating and life-altering season. Thank you for standing with us.

Please Help Roslyn! Wife, Mom & Grandma Battle Rare Sarcoma Cancer in Thigh & Lung.

In October 2024, after what I thought was just a pulled groin muscle in my upper thigh. I began experiencing severe pain and swelling. After multiple scans, lots of doctor appointments, tests, then finally a very painful core biopsy!
So, on January 3rd, 2025, I was diagnosed with cancer. A rare, high grade and aggressive soft tissue sarcoma in my right thigh and metastasized in my right lung.

The tumor is massive—about the size of a honeydew melon or small watermelon—and it’s twisted deep into my adductor muscles and femoral area. It’s also dangerously close to my private areas, causing extreme pain and making it impossible to sit, walk, or ride in a car without pain. It’s gross and has distorted my leg. When it has a spasm it is just nauseating.

I’ve been in active treatment for months now! I just wanted to get better fast and no one would even notice. I’ve completed a month of radiation and I am undergoing Keytruda immunotherapy, with my next infusion scheduled soon.

The month of radiation is done and my skin is healing. I had repeat scans and a new MRI last week.
We are praying the tumor will shrink enough to be removed safely—so I can keep my leg and begin to reclaim my life.

We are a Christian family, and we believe God is in control. Our church has been so good to us and I miss being there, singing in the choir, laughing and hugging my friends! I keep thinking God will answer my prayers and heal me of this cancer so I don’t have to ask for help.

Surgery is coming up soon, April 30th! Our financial burdens have become too heavy to carry alone. We need help! From insurance deductible assistance, car repair, medical expenses, maxed out credit cards, septic repair and just basic living expenses like utilities!

My husband and I are both self-employed. From October through December, I had no health insurance, and we paid out of pocket for the first scans and doctor visits—thousands of dollars that went onto credit cards we can’t afford. We finally got health insurance in January, but the deductible is high, and the costs just keep rising. We have no more savings, and we’ve been selling personal items to try to keep up with bills. The credit card companies are calling and we’re falling behind fast!

My amazing husband, Mark, is doing all he can. He is so scared and worried about me. He wants to help more but someone has to work! I can’t believe this is happening! We are exhausted, overwhelmed, and clinging to each other and to our faith that God knows our needs.

I want to live! I want to keep my leg. I want more time with my husband of 6 sweet years, I have two children, and our brand new grandbaby, born November 1st—our first. He is beautiful!
I need to be here for my 86-year-old mother, who has Alzheimer’s. I want to keep helping Mark at his dental office, and I want to stand again in my kitchen, baking sourdough bread with love and sharing that love with my family and friends.
I want my life back.

If you feel led to help us—thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Your donation will go directly toward medical bills, treatment costs, and household expenses as we fight to survive this next chapter. If you can’t help financially, we ask for and need your prayers—for healing of this terrible disease, for peace, for financial provision, and for the preservation of my body and quality of life.

We’re surrounded by loving neighbors and church friends who’ve helped drive me to appointments since I can’t drive myself. I can’t walk far or stand for long, and I am mostly bed bound. But I’m not giving up! I’m choosing to fight this, even when it’s terrifying to ask for help. I have hesitated, been afraid of judgement and edited this request for help too long. Thank you for reading this and sharing my story.

If you’d rather donate another way you can do so through the sites below. Thank you again for any and all support, it is sincerely appreciated.
