Hello everyone. I am starting this fund raiser for my amazing friend Donovan Hazle. I worked along side Donovan for 11 years at the Garden Court Hotel in Downtown Palo Alto. Donovan worked under me as a Valet / Bellman when I was the Bell Captain. He was one of the hardest working busy bee that I worked with that goes above and beyond for every customer, especially the elderly. Donovan had worked at a care facility for the elderly before the hotel. His love for caring for others is something that I admire and have learned from. Donovan has family back home in Jamaica where he had been sending money to help them. If you know Donovan you know his contagious laugh and infectious positivity. Kids love him and have even made paintings of him.

Donovan had encountered 3 strokes which left him bedridden and unable to swallow. It has been several months since the incident and after insurance had paid the $270K hospital bill, he is still left with $13,000 to cover himself. Without being able to go to work due to the fact that he still is not able to swallow fully and has a long road to go to be able to walk without support again, I decided that a go fund me would help him in a major way. Hopefully if we reach the goal, I can set a bigger goal to help him with the future bills he has to come up with and to make up for the money he will be loosing from not working.
