My name is Donnie, and I am raising funds to help cover the cost of my gender affirming care and recovery expenses. I have been transitioning since early 2024, and this fundraiser is for the next steps in that process. Over the last couple of years, I have spent a lot of time growing into myself and becoming more comfortable living as the person I have always known myself to be. The care I am pursuing will help support my transition, help me move through the world more comfortably, and make certain parts of this process more manageable. The funds raised will go toward gender affirming care, including feminization procedures, consultations, travel, recovery expenses, and other related costs. The total goal is $60,000, which reflects the estimated cost of care along with the expenses that come with preparing for and recovering from procedures. This is something I have thought through seriously, and it represents the next stage of my transition. While I have done my best to plan and save, these costs add up quickly and are difficult to manage alone. Creating this fundraiser felt like the best way to help make these goals more attainable.
