Help Donnie Magee Get Critical Shoulder Surgery

My nephew, Donnie D. Magee, has been diagnosed with Glenoid Dysplasia in the shoulder, a rare developmental abnormality of the scapula that causes an underdevelopment of the glenoid and adjacent scapular neck.

It causes extreme shoulder discomfort, limited range of motion, and instability of the glenohumeral joint. The doctor has been administering injections and prescribed medications to minimize the pain, which is no longer working. He is very close to being bone on bone, which is very painful. The doctor said he is in need of shoulder replacement surgery sooner rather than later.

The doctor said if surgery is delayed any longer, it's going to be critical and that will extend recovery and be a more difficult surgery.

After surgery, he will be in a sling for six weeks, out of work for 3-4 months with little to no income. We are trying to raise $35,000, which will take care of the very high deductible, all monthly expenses, and any other unforeseen financial expenditures that come about. He will also be facing a vigorous physical therapy schedule, which is all out of pocket.

Donnie has worked hard all his life and in 2024 he hasn’t missed any days of work even with the severity of his pain. He totally believes that he is responsible to support his family and it's very humbling to have to ask other people to help him and his family during this time. This was his last choice. So after much discussion and prayer, I got permission to proceed with the GoFundMe.
