Help Donnie and Tasha rebuild after a FIRE
Donation protected
Hi, We are Donnie and Tasha Thrashers family and friends.
Many of you may not be aware yet of this tragedy, but, we would like to share with you so that we may help and serve Donnie and Tasha after a fire took their home.
In early morning hours on Saturday December, 11th, Tasha was awoken to the smell of smoke in their home. What she thought was just the wood burning fireplace, turned out to be a fire in their living room. Tasha woke Donnie and they were able to get to safety. Donnie did proceed to fight the fire with a water hose until the fire department showed up. He was able to keep it from burning all the way down and they could salvage many items. But due to the smoke damage and structural damage, this tragedy has left them without a home. They lost furniture and bedding to name a few, but most importantly a home. A place to find comfort and shelter. They have lived in that home and raised three kids there for 15+ years.
We are so thankful that they were safe, and Tasha was woken when she was so she could get them to safety. That was definitely a blessing. And we couldn’t thank God more for that protection over them. *All the dogs were taken to safety as well!!*
If you know Donnie and Tasha. You know they would drop what they were doing to help someone in need. They have huge hearts and love their people hard. They wouldn’t want to burden anyone with their own needs. But they wouldn’t think twice before running to help someone else.
That is why it is so important to us, in this difficult time for them, to try and help them to the best of our ability.
As they move forward, they plan to rebuild on their land. But they have some hurdles to get over before that ground can break. They have their Daughter Tatum and Preston that they can stay with, as well as a small camper if need be. But as we all know, it’s winter, and with the harsh temperatures, a camper is definitely no way to live this time of year.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story, and for opening your hearts to them. We pray God would continue to protect them and bless them during this difficult time, and that they would feel his love through the support they receive from their families, friends and strangers.
If you feel more comfortable giving via a different platform, like Pay Pal, Venmo, Cash App, we have options for that as well. Please reach out if that is a better option for you.
We look forward to showing Donnie and Tasha the love and support from all of you! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
