Donnette Kirk is a staple in the massage & bodyworks industry. Many know Donnette as a healer! Close friends even refer to her as their “doctor” because her skill in massage has healed so many ailments. She is an incredible friend, daughter, dog mom and wife to her husband Dwayne!

In March, Donnette started to feel ill. She thought it was the flu that was going around, but she never recovered. Since March she has had multiple doctors visits, and was diagnosed with costochondritis, and was told to rest. In early July she went in for an MRI, due to still being unwell and unable to work. This MRI spotted masses. She got a 2nd MRI a couple days later where they confirmed the masses were malignant tumors that had intertwined in her vertebrae. She was rushed to emergency surgery at MUSC to remove them on July 4th. The tumors came back as neuroendocrine cancer-stage 4.

She's been in Tidelands hospital since the surgery & is receiving intense physical therapy where she is relearning how to walk and stand from spinal surgery. Donnette is the sole provider for her household as her husband is on disability. Being in and out of the doctors since March along with her recent surgery and PT has had an impact on their finances. There is no clear timeline on when she will be able to return to work, as her job is completely physical.

We have set up this go fund me to help support our healer while she herself heals. Our goal is to relieve her of as much of the financial burdens she is facing while battling stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer.
