Help support Donna with Ankle Surgery

Hi, my name is Febbie and I'm sharing this GoFundMe in hopes of helping my sweet Friend/neighbor. 

Now that everything has been settled with the insurance company and attorney, I can share my whole story. So on August 6th 2024 I was headed home, 30 seconds from home to be exact. I was on my side of the road and I started to top a hill where I see this van headed straight for me in my lane. I slam on the brakes and swerved my van off the road to avoid being hit. (I thought i was about to take out a couple mailboxes) Unfortunately the kid driving nor his mother in the passenger seat was paying any attention and still headed right at me, hitting me in the driver side of my van. The Mother admitted she was teaching her son to drive, she was looking down, she said he was about to hit me as she looked up and it was too late. When i was hit I was out of it for a bit from the airbag but life360 called me and I said help. They called 911 for me. My feet were stuck but i knew for sure that my left was broke. I then told my Bluetooth to call my husband. My husband new exactly where I was thanks to life360. The drivers mom got out and said "I'm so sorry". She called her husband and the next car that drove up she told them they needed to call 911. She didnt know that my life360 had already called. I've already told you all the story of the man that came and held my hand until paramedics got there. The police got there before the paramedics. The police only walked up to me and said "paramedics are on the way" and then left me with the wonderful man holding my hand. They also had an officer shove my husband that was coming to check on me after he arrived and told him he would arrest him if he tried to get to me. The police never once asked me what happened. They only spoke to the other drivers and they put in my police report that we hit head on which cost us $7,000 to have an engineer come out and prove that I was the innocent driver. After having to hire an attorney, pay the engineer and give a 3rd to my health insurance to get all of that squared away I was left with very little from the car insurance company. When paramedics showed up they cut open my van door and shoved an IV in me and filled me up with so many pain meds i was out of it. All i remember is being on the stretcher and rushed to the ambulance, my husband saying "Donna" and the paramedics saying "she is sedated". After the accident I was rushed to the hospital covered in more bruises than i've showed in my post/photos, I also had my whole ankle shattered. A day later I had to have surgery to install an exfix on my foot to hold everything in place. 2 more surgeries later, several months of therapy and losing my position at my job everything is still an awful mess. My surgeon that has done my last 3 surgeries said that I have bone death in my ankle which is making it collapse when I try to walk. He said he could do a bone fusion, or amputation. Neither of these are something I feel can help me move on with my life as a mother of 5 beautiful kids so they are sending me to Knoxville to meet a surgeon who has 20 years of experience reconstructing the total ankle. I go to meet with him on the 31st this month to see what surgery is best for my ankle. Unfortunately with every visit there is a $75 copay and travel. I hate asking for help but yall I need alot of it. My neighbor and wonderful friend has made me this gofund me to help with the copays and travel. She is being so kind and helping me get there on the 31st. If anyone can help or please just share. Thank you in advance so much for all the prayers yall have sent for me over this past year. Its crazy to think that I haven't been walking without assistance in almost a year. I will get there and I can't wait.
