Help Donna Taylor Get a Car for Medical Needs

Trying to raise money for Donna Taylor, a disabled woman who also has a disease causing severe weight loss that doctors still haven't figured out. She was able to get to her many medical appointments, until a driver pulled out in front of her and totaled her car, injuring Donna in the wreck.

The driver's insurance company is Progressive and they completely ignored her, never returning her calls or requests for a rental car, until she got a lawyer to call them. They then said they approved a rental car for 3 days and stopped communication again. This was a FULL MONTH after the wreck. She went all that time with no car, no fault of her own. She had no way to go pick up the rental car and the next she heard, they had paid off her car and she got nothing and has no way to replace the car. She is suing for her injuries and loss of transportation, but Progressive is stonewalling every step and meanwhile she has torn collarbone cartilage and other injuries from the wreck and her other doctor appointments to get to. They say she probably needs surgery on the collarbone injury.

She lives way out in the country on bad roads and can't get Ubers or cabs to come there. She's on disability income and raising her granddaughter as well. So while this listed as a medical fundraiser, it's more about raising money to buy some sort of used car to get to medical appointments. Just to get her by until she gets a settlement from the insurance. There's no telling how long this will take, the way things are dragging.

It's just such an injustice that this woman was having many health and financial issues, but still getting by on her own, until this was all changed and made so much worse by a careless driver and a heartless insurance company. Thank you for reading all this and for any help you can give.
