Help Donna and Seaside Learning Academy Recover from Flooding

On September 13, 2024, Seaside Learning Academy, which had just opened its doors five weeks ago, faced an unexpected crisis due to unprecedented rain and a failure of the local wastewater system. This resulted in flooding and damage in all but one of the classrooms.

Donna, the dedicated educator and owner of Seaside Learning Academy, acted quickly. With the help of her amazing staff and community volunteers, she installed a temporary system to drain the water from the building. ServPro has been engaged to dry out the school as efficiently as possible and other contractors are expected to start recovery work today. However, these emergency measures are costly, and such expenses were unforeseen by a new business owner.

The children and their families depend on Seaside Learning Academy for quality care and education. Donna has poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing environment for early education, driven by her love of teaching rather than financial gain. After being out of the classroom for several years, she built this academy to provide a safe and enriching place for our community's children.
