Help Donna Pay for Her Hospitalization

Donation protected
My mom, Donna, had an unexpected seizure this Tuesday (January 12th) and had to be rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in the ambulance. She never had a seizure in her life nor was there any family history of them, but she had another one once she arrived at the hospital.
She has been in the hospital for 6 days now. And she is now receiving care in the ICU where she is heavily sedated. We're still not sure how long she will be in there, and due to uncertainty and severity; the plan of care has included basically everything: ramping up the costs and length of her stay.

Due to covid, nobody is allowed to visit her, but we have been able to talk to her for a couple of minutes on the phone before her condition worsened. One of the first things she said on the phone was "I have no insurance". The last thing I want my mom to do is worry about costs, and the last thing I want to do is beg for money. But we're desperate, and I have to try everything possible.

She has had a long history of medical issues including high blood pressure, but since being in the hospital we have discovered she also has pneumonia, along with brain and heart issues; multiple diagnoses call for a large variety of tests and treatments. Things such as an EKG, echocardiogram, MRI, CT scan, supplemental oxygen, etc. Just to name a few. So we have no idea how expensive this will come to be. And having some financial assistance will alleviate her stress and help us out immensely. Managing her stress is going to be a huge part of her recovery.

Normally I wouldn't do something like this but both of my parents are currently unemployed and uninsured. My mom was a healthcare worker and just recently got let go. We have all submitted applications for insurance coverage, but the process is going to take a while and these medical bills are still expected to be outrageous.

Anything and everything helps if you can give at all. I wouldn't be asking if it wasn't serious. My mom means everything to me and my siblings, and showing her that we have some money would make everything so much easier. And letting her know many people care about her would mean the world. For those of you who know Donna know how she is the first person to help others when they need it. For those who don't, take my word for it. I promise. She is an amazing person and I can't wait till she's back home. But we have a long road ahead of us, and anything will help. Thank you.
