Help Donna Knock Cancer Out

Hello Everyone,

My family is in desperate need of help, my 62-year-old grandmother Donna was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, a recurrence as she already had a double mastectomy years ago. However, along with cancer, she has an open wound from the previous radiation location, which is how she found out her cancer had returned.

Her left heart valve is failing and she will need surgery to correct the valve. She is undergoing chemo and radiation treatments both closing her open wound and surgery must wait till she has finished both treatments, radiation and chemo. Before the open wound and surgery can be taken care of.

My grandmother is a hard-working, independent woman. She enjoys a simple low-key life but that has been turned upside down with the recent diagnosis. But until chemo is complete she cannot get surgery for either her heart valve or her open wound. On top of all that she will still need to undergo radiation as well.

Unfortunately, she is unable to work throughout her treatments. Due to the fact we live in Massachusetts and my grandmother lives in Hawaii, it has been strenuous to be able to provide all the necessities she will need during her journey. My grandmother is only in the beginning of her treatments and the road to recovery will be a long journey. The road to recovery is a long one for her and she is unable to work during her treatments, and it has become strenuous on my family seeing as myself and my mother both live in Massachusetts and she lives in Hawai’i.

This Go Fund Me is to ease financial burden and stress so that she can focus on her recovery and health throughout her treatments. Along with my family so we can focus on helping my grandmother through her treatments and focus on her health.
