As we all entered the new year, we had expectations of good health, happiness, love, and prosperity. Unfortunately, the new year brought totally unexpected and heartbreaking news to Donna Gerl Whitlock, her family, and friends. Donna was diagnosed with AML Leukemia, is currently hospitalized, and will be unable to work for an extended period of time.
Donna is a devoted Mom and Bubbe who never misses an opportunity to tell you the most recent news on Jeremy, Josh, Jordan, Sara, and her grandkids, all while smiling with love and pride.
Many of us who are her friends, including past and present coworkers, are considered her family in her eyes. She has taken many of us under her wing and has loved each of us unconditionally.
Chances are if you know Donna, she has impacted your life in some way, whether it be flooding your Facebook with posts, tracking you down at the Bethlehem Fair for a picture, laughing with you, crying with you, or just being a true and genuine friend. She genuinely cares about people, and that is a rarity these days. She doesn't ever ask for help but is the first to offer it. She loves with her entire heart, and it is time we return the favor. While she enters this extremely difficult chapter of her story, the last thing she should need to worry about is finances. Please consider helping in this trying time.
