It is with a heavy heart that Donna Santella was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. On Tuesday, July 12th, she will go in for her first surgery. At that time, further testing will be done to determine future treatment. The 2nd surgery will hopefully be scheduled in 2-3 months. This will be a long road of treatment and recovery. Donna will have to take ample time off of work to heal and to be cancer free.

Donna and I have been friends for almost 30 years! We call her “Sweet D” for a reason. She is the most thoughtful person that I know. She has the warmest and most giving heart. She has a beautiful soul. She is selfless. Donna is always the first to be there for her friends and family. She has endured so much heartache resulting from her twin brother, Jimmy, suffering from ALS and ultimately passing away. Because of this, over the years, she has organized many fundraisers in his honor, to keep his spirit alive. He is her guardian angel, looking over her-more so now, to help her fight this fight.

Due to this diagnosis, I’m requesting to please consider donating to Donna, to help alleviate the cost that will be incurred by her and her family. This will help her with unexpected medical expenses, so that she can concentrate on recovering without the added stress. Also, please keep Donna in your prayers, and continue to pray for her to to be strong. Together, I want her to know that we got this!
