My name is Donna. I am a mother of nine, a grandmother to over thirty grandchildren, and blessed with great-grandchildren who still need my love, my prayers, and my presence. I have already endured the unimaginable loss of two of my children—a pain no parent should ever carry. Through that grief, my faith sustained me. Now, I am facing another battle, and once again, I am placing my life in God’s hands.

For years, I have been fighting a rare and aggressive form of cancer that has now been found in multiple parts of my body. Because this cancer is so uncommon, many doctors near my home in Missouri had little experience treating it. I endured invasive surgeries and exhausting treatments, trusting that God was walking beside me even when the road felt impossibly heavy. Despite all efforts, the treatments available to me locally were not enough.

Through prayer and perseverance, I was led to specialists in Houston, Texas who understand this rare cancer. They have given me renewed hope and a path forward. However, receiving this life-saving care requires frequent travel and extended stays, bringing an overwhelming financial burden that continues to grow.

Recently, I received devastating news: I now have two large tumors. My doctors have explained that I will need either months of intensive radiation or a major surgery followed by reconstructive procedures. Both options require a long stay in Texas and time away from work, while medical costs and living expenses continue to accumulate.

This battle has tested my faith in ways I never imagined. The weight of the financial strain, combined with the physical and emotional toll of cancer, has been overwhelming. Still, I trust that God provides—often through the kindness of others.

I want to live. I want to watch my grandchildren grow, to pray over them, to celebrate their milestones, and to be present for the moments God has yet to place in my life. I believe my story is not finished, and I am choosing to fight with faith, hope, and love.
