A Beloved Community Member in Need

Our dear friend, mother, stepmother, and long-time Sugar Land resident, Donna Barker, needs our help. Donna has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 vulvar cancer, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that affects the outer part of the female reproductive system. This diagnosis has come as a devastating shock, and she is now preparing to undergo a rigorous course of treatment, including radiation, chemotherapy, and the possibility of surgery.

A Life of Dedication and Service

For over 30 years, Donna has been a dedicated and hardworking employee at the same company, a testament to her loyalty and work ethic. She has always provided for her family and has been an active and engaged member of the Sugar Land community. A devoted mother of two, she has also been a loving stepmother since I was seven years old, playing an essential role in my life and being a wonderful grandmother to my children. One of her children has extreme special needs, adding an additional layer of hardship to an already difficult situation.

Donna has always been there for others—whether through her church, her workplace, or in her community. Now, it’s time for us to be there for her.

How Your Donations Will Be Used

We have set a goal of $25,000 to help cover Donna’s medical and living expenses. Here is how the funds will be used:

Medical Expenses ($12,000): Covers chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, medications, and doctor visits.

Household Bills & Living Expenses ($10,000): Helps with mortgage, utilities, groceries, and other essential costs while Donna is unable to work.

Transportation, Parking & Travel Costs ($2,500): Covers transportation to and from medical appointments and treatments, as well as parking fees.

Other Necessities & Unexpected Costs ($500): Addresses any unforeseen expenses that arise during treatment.
