Hello, I am Zach Edie, the caretaker for Donna Edie, my mother. We have been homeless for almost two years now, and things have reached a point where the water feels higher than we can get past on our own. Our income is solely based around my mother's disability; she has COPD, ankylosing spondylitis, pancreatic cancer, and limited mobility. The one thing I want to do is to keep a roof over our heads. We've had to sell our car, most of our possessions, and have been traveling between motels for this span, while not being able to reliably feed or clothe ourselves.

If at all possible, we are looking for the means to be able to get out of this situation; to find the ability to have stability once more, since the situation at hand has been nothing if not difficult. Finding a job that allows for the hours needed with the finances needed in the time allotted has been particularly troublesome. On the sentimental side of things, my mother has been my rock for most of my life, encouraging and guiding me through the hardest parts of my life, and as things build up, all I truly want is for her to be safe.

The intent for this money would be to use it to fill in financial gaps where they rise, for things such as food, medication, housing, and transportation. My mother has been very sick, and the law surrounding living within a hotel/motel isn't particularly forgiving to those without a place to call home, as you are only allowed a maximum of 28 days at a given location until you have to move away for a period, and we've both been terrified of the worst case scenario coming to be.

My mother suffers from medical trauma and nonmedical trauma, and we are both survivors of abuse, so we'd prefer to not be split apart. If any of this resonates with you and you're willing to donate, or at the very least share this, it would mean the world to me for the situation at hand.
