Help Donna Aloia After Life Threatening Accident

Hi!

My husband Joe and I, wanted to create a GoFundMe, to help this amazing woman and family that has been family friends for over 15 years.

For those who do not know, Donna fell down a flight of stairs early on New Year's Day and landed head-first on the concrete floor. She was rushed to the emergency room and then later transferred to a trauma center due to significant bleeding in her brain. Unfortunately, she suffered a traumatic brain injury and had to have surgery to relieve the pressure on her brain which thankfully was a success.

Currently, Donna is awake and responsive but has a long road to recovery ahead of her despite the positive progress. The doctors estimate that this road of recovery can easily last well over a year. With any traumatic brain injury, the future is unknown but we know that God is a healer and Donna is a strong woman.

Currently, she is in the ICU for over 9 days and will remain there for months and then possibly be transferred to a rehabilitation facility.

Danny has taken a leave of absence from his job to be at Donna's side and her children have continued to travel to see her.

This GoFundMe is to help the Aloia family with any future medical bills that insurance does not cover, gas for the family who travel back and forth to see her, income during her downtime as well as assistance in any future care she may need.

Additionally, the money will go toward hiring a nurse and/or caregiver once she is at home.
