Hi, I'm Donielle, granddaughter of Donna Brown. As most people know, my beloved grandma passed away on 7/18/25 due to very aggressive pancreatic cancer that moved to other major organs. This cancer took her life in a matter of weeks, giving her no time to plan for end-of-life matters.
My main focus was to get her on hospice so she could get the care she needed, like pain relief. Lots of people know her because of the strong small business she owned for over 53 years, BROWN'S FLORAL, that burned last year. She lost everything she ever worked for, all gone in a matter of minutes. Then, unknowingly fighting cancer, she was such a warrior. It was such a terrible experience to witness my grandma go through all of the pain from the fire but also knowing that cancer was taking her from us and no treatment would help. She didn't want to go yet. She was still enjoying life.
Others know her for all the love and support she gave when she had nothing herself. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back and go cold before seeing someone suffer. If you know her, you know this to all be true.
Now, my grandma Donna and her family are in need of some support for end-of-life expenses. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and share her story. And if you can't financially donate, that's okay. Just please share our story so we can bring my grandma home sooner.
